Coachmen RVs stretches its root back in 1964. Coachmen Industries was founded by three brothers Claude Corson, Keith and Tom. The first RV manufactured by them was produced in a 5000 sq ft plant.
In the first year of the company management the company had produced twelve travel trailers, 80 truck caps and a single truck camper.
Three of the brothers new that had to do better than this. In 1969 they made the RV manufacturing company a public company a public company. The company was on its right path to glory. In 1972Coachmen RVs became stock listed company and was listed on American Stock Exchange. This wasn’t the mile stone for the brothers. In 1978 Coachmen stock was approved by New York Stock Exchange.1984 was the year when Coachmen was ranked among the Fortune 500 companies. In December 2008 the RV manufacturing company became a part of Forest River Inc. What started with a 5000 sq ft manufacturing plant today is 11 acres of under roof facility, where Coachmen RVs trailers, Class A and Class C motor homes and fifth wheels are manufactured. The total production area is 120 acres.
Among its travel trailer production is the Coachmen 249qb Le, which is not available currently as the model is updated by the manufacturer. Cooking range includes a 3 burner and an oven. For sleeping traveler comes with a queen bed and a full size sleep sofa.
